Spring 2015 bee inspections

As of 3/15/2015 we have been able to inspect all the colonies that have survived the winter in KC area. Being this winter has been much warmer than the 2014 weather.. bees have come thru the winter in great shape, all colonies have laying queens, and they are starting to increase in population as the young bees start hatching..
We have only lost approx. 10% of the colonies that started into winter, which amounts to approx. 30 colonies. This leave's us in a real good position to make quite a few new colonies, and are setting our goals for 400+ producing hives by June 2015.
